How do I know if my spiritual beliefs are really mine?
Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, Who taught me what I believe about God?
I think that's such an important question because most of us didn't sit down one day and consciously decide what we believed. We grew up in families and communities where those beliefs were already there. Maybe they came from our parents or grandparents, the church we attended, religious leaders we trusted, or simply the culture we grew up in.
And then we grow up. We have our own experiences, we meet different people, we learn, we change, and sometimes we begin to realize that some of what we were taught still feels deeply meaningful to us, while other parts just don't fit the same way anymore.
That's when I think it's worth asking yourself, Do I actually believe this, or is this simply what I was taught to believe?
You don't have to throw everything away to ask that question. You also don't have to have all the answers. Maybe you simply start paying attention to what still feels true to you and give yourself permission to be curious about the things that don't.
Sometimes that's where reclaiming your spirituality begins. Not with having all the answers, but with finally allowing yourself to ask the questions.
Ready to explore those questions a little deeper?
That's exactly why I created Reclaiming Your Spirituality.
This isn't a course where I'm going to tell you what you should believe. It's a space where we're going to explore the beliefs you were given, what still feels true to you, what may no longer fit, and how you begin connecting to a spirituality that actually feels like your own.
